i have discovered portulaca seed is best fresh. it turns out the tiny seed does not store well and as one year old germination falls off steeply. fresh seed provided 200 ct plug trays just brimming and way over full but the darn seed is so small ya know. plants just set out from 1206 inserts which portulaca seems to prefer. the root system on this plant is small and it does better in a mix that is on the dry side and when the plant is a bit rootbound. one week in the ground and they are blooming and have doubled in size as always. they will fill in completely in another 10 days or so and bloom here thru sept. great seed.
The delivery was right on time and was surprised to see how fast the seeds sprouted. They haven't form flowers yet, but I am sure it won't be long. I have order from other company and the seeds never produce. Then I remembered I had bought Neseed a few years ago and had success, so order again. I am very pleased.
