Hard to plant large quantities
This is my first year of small farm farming and I chose beets as my crop as I have a buyer for as many as I can grow. The problem is that beet seeds vary greatly in size. If you size the hole in your seeder to accept the larger seeds, the smaller seeds double and triple up clogging the holes. This is NOT a fault of neseed company and they have been very helpful in trying to help me with this inherent problem with this particular seed type. I just wanted to make others aware of this potential problem. If you have an air seeder, this will not be a problem.Happy Growing!

Better than anticipated
I am the above reviewer and wanted to give a follow-up. These beets grew like crazy! I did some thinning, but since I grew such a large crop (over 20,000 lbs.) I did not have time to thin as much as suggested. Most of the beets still grew round in bunches or one or two would be smaller and the third in the same area would be fine. Overall, I was glad I did not spend the time thinning. The only remaining negative was they seemed to bolt at a higher rate than expected. I’ve noticed a new strain of Chioggia beets to help with this, but I would not let it keep me from buying this seed if it was one you wanted to grow.
