Germination time varies for different varieties. Plan to transplant 2 or 3 times over a period of 5 to 8 weeks

Seed should be sown in a loose, sterilized mixture of half sand and half light friable soil. Cover seed with 1/8” of sand. Place seed flat in a pan of water until the surface is moist then cover with plastic.

Maintain 70°F night and 85°F day soil temperature. Transplant into sandy, well-drained soil.
