Description
(2′) Turnip, Appin was bred for fast growth and vigorous plants. This turnip has a long, carrot shaped root that breaks up heavy and compacted soil. It is also great feed for wildlife and livestock, edible leaves and roots, roots are winter hardy. Plant in spring and summer. Can tolerate some shade but not tolerant of drought. Soil must be at least 50ºF for the seed to germinate.
