Description
(2-4′)Rape, Dwarf Essex (Rapeseed) is a cool season cover crop that grows quickly and smothers weeds. Plant anytime from April to August. It is effective at breaking up heavy clay soil. Rapeseed is very cold hardy and will stand for months after the first fall frost. The young leaves can be harvested and eaten like kale and collards. Plant when soil temperature is 45ºF or warmer.
