Grows quickly (30-45 days from seeding to tilling into the soil) and can be planted between crops during the growing season. Excellent source of nectar for honey-bees and the young leaves can be added to mesclun mixes. Only 90 days from seeding to harvesting a seed crop. Does not grow well on compacted soil or during a drought. The plants are not cold tolerant. Plant when soil temperature is 50°F or warmer.
