(1 1/4-2 lbs.) A green-shelled variety resembling an acorn in shape, about the size of a coconut. Just right for cutting in half and baking. Very prolific. 85 days.
2-8 lbs./acre.; 7-10 days, 72F. Start early indoors in pots and transplant after last spring frost. Can also be seeded directly in the field after soil temperature is 72F.

Sowing: Direct seed at about the frost free date into rich, fertile soil. Usually sown in groups ("hills") of 4-6 seeds and thinned to the 2 strongest plants per group.
Care: Water regularly and fertilize when lateral runners begin to spread.
Harvest: Shortly before fall frost cut from plant, leaving a portion of stem attached. Skin should be deep green and firm.
Your Health: Excellent source of fiber and vitamin A, also supplies minerals and vitamins B and C.

We planted the table queen acorn squash late this year. We sowed directly in compost rich soil. Wow...the plants are doing great and have so many fruits. These are the biggest
acorn squash we've ever had..and the most. Looking forward to growing this variety again next year!
