Many consider wild flowers to be the most exciting and regarding of all flowers. One of the best-loved wild flowers. Grows well throughout much of the continent under a variety of conditions The neat, magnificently brilliant black-and-gold 2-4" (5-10cm) flowers are borne on stiff 1-3' (30-91cm) stems. Plants are easy-to-grow and very hardy, they make excellent cut flowers.
Plant: Select sunny location and plant in well-drained soil during early spring or fall (recommended in mild climates). For best results, loosen soil with rake or hoe. Mix seeds with a cup of sand or inert material and broadcast over planting light mulch. Keep soil moist until plants begin to grow. Care: Requires little care, water only as necessary.Tip: Store in cool, dry place. Heat and moisture severely reduce germination.
