This variety differs from others as it is gown not only for its fleshy stems but also for kitchen use as young plants (greens). Erect plant, about 60 cm tall, resistant to early flowering. Leaf stems are whitish-silver, broad ant thick. Smooth and slightly crinkly leaves, bright green in color. Suitable for use both as fresh produce and by the frozen food industry.

Sowing: From spring to summer in seedbed our outdoors. For seedbed sowings. Pulp up plants when 4-5 leaves have formed, remove top part and tip of root, replanting at intervals of 30-40 cm, with 40-60 cm between rows. For outdoor sowings thin out plants until the same distances are obtained.

  • Silver-white ribs are thick and large. The leaves are smooth and brilliant green. This variety differs from others in that it is grown not only for the chard but for the leaves which can be consumed. Upright plant, resistant to early flowering.

ESPAÑOL:
Esta variedad se diferencia de otras porque no se cultiva sólo para el consumo de los nervios, sino también de las plantitas (cocinadas). La planta, de porte erecto, de unos 60 cm. de altura, es resistente a la prefloración. Los nervios son de color blanco plateado, espesos y largos. Las hojas lisas, ligeramente granuladas de color verde brillante. El producto está destinado al mercado de productos frescos y a la industria de la congelación.

Siembra: Se efectúa desde la primavera al otoño en semillero o en pleno campo. Si se siembra en semillero, se extirpan las plantitas cuando tienen 4 ó 5 hojas, se privan de la parte superior y de la punta del cepejón y se ponen en su demora en hileras distantes 40-60 cm., distanciándolas 30-40 N en cada hilera. Se siembran en el campo, hay que clarear las plantas hasta lograr dichas distancias.
