Standard Sweet CornWhat do these symbols mean?
The most popular white corn in the industry. People ask for it by name. No roadside stand should be without it. Ears are plump, 8-9 long with a 14-16 row count. Good disease resistance. Long flags and dark green husks. 92 days.
70F-75F soil temperatures at planting.

Sowing: Sow seeds directly in the garden in spring after soil has warmed. Does best in deeply cultivated soil that is high in nitrogen. To aid pollination, avoid planting in a single row. For succession, plant every 3 weeks until early summer.
Care: Water generously and fertilize when plants are 12-18" (30-45cm) tall.
Harvest: Pick when silks turn brow. Test by piercing a kernel with thumbnail to see if it spurts a milky juice.
Your Health: Good source of several vitamins and minerals.

Silver Queen Hybrid Corn August 21, 2011
Reviewer: Paul Rokos from North Andover, MA United States
I planted Silver Queen Hybrid Corn mid June and it came up beautifully, but all the stauks grew multiple side shoots that are now also corn ears on them.  Some of 4 side shoots right from the base of the corn.  Is this normal?  All the ears look very small.  It is now mid August in Ma.
