An outstanding prolific summer vegetable, that is easy to grow. The fruits are delicious when picked while young and immature. Eat fresh dried, steamed of baked, and freeze excess for various brads, cakes, casseroles, soufflés, pancakes and custard recipes.

Sowing: Select sunny location and plant in late spring when soil is warm and danger of frost is past. Cultivate and enrich soil with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed.
Care: Water heavily and frequently. Feed every 3-4 weeks.
Harvest: To ensure steady supply, pick continuously when fruits are young, tender and easily punctured.
Your Health: Contain Calcium, Iron and Vitamins A, B1, B2, Niacin and C.



FROM OUR SEED CATALOG:
  • Patty Pan. Fruits are very pale green when young and turn chalk white when about 5” in diameter. Flesh is white with a fine texture and mild flavor. Heavy, bush-type plant produces scallop-type squash. 47 days.

    175-300/oz. 10 days, 72F. Sow directly into peat pots or packs and flats. Germinate, then grow on at 70°F. Will have a saleable plant in about 3-5 weeks.
