Qty:  
The straight, slender fruits of black zucchini have an almost black skin and greenish-white flesh. Plants are easy-to-grow, mature quickly, and produce lots lf low-calorie, versatile fruits. Use raw in salads and with dips or steamed, fried and baked. Freezes well.

Sowing: Direct seed at about the frost free date into rich, fertile soil. Usually sown in groups ("hills") of 4-6 seeds and thinned to the 2 strongest plants per group.
Care: Water regularly and fertilize when 6" (15cm) tall.
Harvest: Pick continuously when fruit is 6-8 (15-20cm) long. Use a knife or shears.
Your Health: Supplies several minerals and vitamins A and C.



FROM OUR SEED CATALOG:
  • (OP) Fruit is green with greyish-black tone. Blocky, smoothly bulbed with open plant habit. Fruit should be picked when 6 1/2”-7” long. 56 days.

    175-300/oz. 10 days, 72F. Sow directly into peat pots or packs and flats. Germinate, then grow on at 70°F. Will have a saleable plant in about 3-5 weeks.
