Sage grows to a height of between 50 and 60 cm. It is completely pubescent and has a quadrangular branched stalk. Its leaves are 7-8 cm long and have a rough surface with serrated edges. The leaves growing further up the plant are small and deciduous. The roots are tightly brunched together. The tabular flowers grow closely together with between 5 and 10 flowers per bunch They are either light violet or pink in color. The crop lasts for 4-5 years. The seeds can be field-sown in April or can be planted in a greenhouse towards the end of winter.

  • Easy-to-grow perennial herb producing attractive flowers and flavorful, gray-green leaves. Use leaves for stuffings, meat dishes, stews, chowders and cheeses.

    (Rosmarinus officinalis) Perennial. Seed count per oz. follows each variety. Saleable annual herb plants are ready 6-8 weeks from sowing. Not frost tolerant.




ESPAÑOL:
La salvia es un planta frútice, alta 50-60 cm. totalmente vellosa con tallos ramosos cuadrangulares. Tiene hojas largas 7-8 cm., opuestas, lanceoladas, arrugadas, con los bordes ligeramente dentados, las hojas inferiores tienen largos pecíolos, las superiores son pequeñas y caducas. El aparato radical es a forma de haz. Las flores tubulosas, estériles de color blanco-violeta o rosado, están unidas en número de 5 a 10 en verticilos. El cultivo dura 4-5 años. Se siembran en abril, directamente en la tierra o a finales de invierno en semilleros.
