This free flowering variety produces brilliant spikes of scarlet-red-flowers on handsome deep green plants from midsummer until frost. Excellent for borders. Eye catching when combined with white flowers or grey foliage plants.

Plant: Select sunny location and plant in well-drained soil during early spring or fall (recommended in mild climates). For best results, loosen soil with rake or hoe. Mix seeds with a cup of sand or inert material and broadcast over planting light mulch.
Care: Keep soil moist and feed every 4-6 weeks.

(12”) Early, compact, dwarf plants with scarlet-red spikes.

(Splendens) (Scarlet Sage) Annual. 7,500/oz. 12-15 days, 70-75F. Sow on sterilized surface. Do not cover seed. Transplant after first true set of leaves develop. Salvia does not tolerate cold temperature. Grow at 55-60F. Sow January to provide 4” plants for May bedding sales. Sow early February for May pack sales. Usually 8-12 weeks from seed to sales.
