Representing a new generation of garden peas, Sugar Snap is a winner of the prestigious All America Selections Gold Metal. Crisp, crunchy and delicious, it is eaten whole -pods and peas- when the pods are plump and round. Serve fresh in salads, with dip, stir, fried or steamed. Good for freezing. Grows best in cool weather.

Sowing: Plants grow best if seeds are treated with inoculants before sowing. Plant only into well-drained soil. Direct seed as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. Replant at 3-week intervals until mid-spring.
Care: Water regularly and fertilize when 6" (15cm) tall. Provide a support about 6' (180cm).
Harvest: Pick when the pod color just begins to fade and the seeds are plump but not hard. Hold vine while picking to avoid damaging it.
Your Health: A good source of fiber, minerals, vitamins A and C and some of the B vitamins.
