Large multi-colored flowers marked with "faces" make Swiss Giant pansies a favorite garden flower. Plants are easy-to-grow and have a long blooming season. Use for edging, low borders, mixed with spring flowering bulbs, in rock gardens and in containers.

Plant: For strong plants with lots of bloom either start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost, or sow outdoors in late summer/early fall and provide winter protection where necessary.
Care: Does best during cool weather and with some afternoon shade. Provide rich, moist, well-drained soil.
Tip: Fertilize when first flower buds form. Pick off dead blooms.

  • Blend of Swiss Giant colors.

    (see also Viola) Perennial. 20,000/oz. 7-10 days, 65-70F. Sow on sterilized surface. Cover seed lightly. Needs darkness to germinate. Give good circulation. Number of weeks from seed to sale is 12-14 weeks. Can be sown in June and July for bloom in the fall. Sow in October/November for Spring.
