Organic bean seed certified by Baystate Organic Certifiers.

Flat
podded, 5 1/2” thick bean has white seeds with brown eyes. Improved
rust resistance results in fewer blemishes. Mild flavored and high
yielding. A compact and upright grower ideal for home gardens.
Beans are not only good for you but, they also taste good and are easy
to grow. You can grow bush snap beans, which are small, self-supporting
plants that bear quickly; or pole snap beans, which are tall, vigorous,
productive vines. Beans are delicious when eaten fresh, frozen or
canned.
When and Where to Plant: Select
a sunny location and plant when all danger of frost has past and the
soil has warmed. For best results, loosen soil with spade or fork,
fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed
and keep moist. Plant bush types every 3 weeks.
Care: Support pole beans with stout poles, trellis, string, or wire. Water by soaking soil to reduce danger of disease.
Harvest: Pick regularly when pods are 4-6"/10-15 cm, before side bulge.
Your Health: A low calorie, high fiber source of minerals and vitamins.
