(Torpedo Onion) Long-growing late variety producing a large pear-shaped bulb whose tunics are light red on the outside and pinkish-white on the inside. Popular when consumed fresh thanks to its very tender sweet bulbs. This variety does not keep particularly well. Sowing: In autumn with replanting in January-February. Alternatively it can be planted directly outdoors in January-February and harvested in June-July.

9,000/oz. 10 days, 70F. Sow directly into packs or pots. Grow at 55F night temperature. Saleable plants in 6-8 weeks. Cut plants half way back if they stretch.
