Purple cauliflower is easier to grow than white and is tasty and more nutritious. It is delicious raw or cooked and freezes well. This variety has a medium sized purple head that turns green when cooked. It is extremely cold hardy and produces many side shoots. Give each plant almost 2 sq. ft. if you want to harvest side shoots after cutting the main head. 85-90 days.
7,000 seeds/oz.; 1/2-1 lb./acre. 10 days, 70ºF. Grow like cabbage. After germination grow on at 60ºF. Start in early spring indoors and plant outside when 4 weeks old. Can also be started from seed in late July for fall crops.
