Mounded plants are covered with colorful, thimble-size flowers of predominately pink, white and purple. Blooms begin in mid-summer and continue until frost. When cut, flowers hold their color and shape indefinitely. Use in pots and for bedding and edging.
Plant: Direct seed 1-2 weeks before last frost; or sow indoors 6-7 weeks earlier. Before sowing, soak seeds in warm water for 24 hours. Firm soil over seeds and keep moist. Care: Tolerate heat and some drought. But does best when watered. Fertilize when first blooms open. Tip: Harvest flowers in full color. Dry by hanging small clusters upside down in a dry, shady location.
