Produces round-oval fruit that is flattened at the tip and deeply grooved. Violet with blue and white tinges near the stalk. Compact flesh with few seeds. Resistant to transportation and particularly suitable for industrial processing. A vigorous and erect plant with well covering foliage. Suitable for growing either in a nursery or directly outdoors.

Sowing: From November to April for harvesting in summer-autumn.

  • Popular world-wide for its oval and flattish fruits, white-violet in color. The pulp is compact and seedless. Delicious fried, in casseroles or with other vegetables.

    6,000/oz. 14 days 80F. Sow directly in peat pots or packs. Transplant 3 weeks after sowing. Saleable plants 6-8 weeks from sowing.

ESPAÑOL:
Frutos redondo-ovalados, achatados en la punta, con surcos y color violeta difuminado de celeste y blanco en la zona del pedúnculo, pulpa compacta y con pocas semillas, resistente a los transportes e idónea para la elaboración industrial. Planta vigorosa, erecta, con follaje cubriente. Apta para su cultivo en invernadero o en pleno campo.

Siembra: Se realiza desde noviembre a abril para cosecha en verano-otoño.
