This delicious and versatile vegetable is very popular worldwide. Plants grow 2-3" (61-91cm) tall, with 4 or more fruit. One of our garden's best meat substitutes. Delicious fried, in casseroles or with other vegetables. Grows well in containers. *From setting transplants into the garden Hybrids mature 10-15 days earlier.

Sowing: Start seed indoors or in the hotbed 8-10 weeks before night temperatures warm. For later crop start seed outdoors in warm and sunny location after weather warms. Cultivate deeply and enrich with vegetable food and organic matter. Firm soil over seed.
Care: Keep soil moist, weed free and feed every 4-6 weeks.
Harvest: Pick when glossy and dark purple. Skin should not spring back when pressed with thumb.
Your Health: Supplies Calcium, Iron and Vitamins A, B1, B2, Niacin and C.

  • An Italian-type eggplant that bears slender, purple fruit measuring 2 1/2” x 12” on upright plants. 75 days.

    6,000/oz. 14 days 80F. Sow directly in peat pots or packs. Transplant 3 weeks after sowing. Saleable plants 6-8 weeks from sowing.
