Few plants rival delphiniums for providing a bold display of tall flowers with a strong vertical accent. Flower colors are mostly blue, white, pink, lavender and purple. Use in groups in the background, as an accent and for cut flowers during early summer; reblooms in fall.

Plant: For strong plants either start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost, or sow outdoors in late summer/early fall and provide winter protection where necessary.
Care: Plant in well-drained soil. Fertilize when spring growth begins.
Tip: Protect from wind and provide support for flower stalks.
