Voluminous elongated compact round head. The base produces very strong wide roundish leaves with slightly serrated edges. The head, thanks to forced growing (under covers of various kinds) takes on a variegated mother of pearl color and has a crunchy consistency, It is very productive and resistant to aestivation, and with its non-bitter taste it is ideal for salads.
Sowing
: To obtain vigorous heads sow directly in the ground in rows spaced 30-35 cm apart in July-August for cutting at the end of autumn-winter. In the Australian continent sowing time has to be postponed about 6 months.

ESPAÑOL:
Cogollo voluminoso, redondo y alargado, compacto formado por unas hojas de base muy desarrolladas, anchas, redondeadas y con los bordes ligeramente dentados. El cogollo, por medio de cultivo forzado, por ejemplo con coberturas de varios tipos, asume un color nacarado-abigarrado y una consistencia crujiente. Sin ningún sabor amargo, es muy productiva y es muy resistente antes de florecer. Se consume en ensalada.
Siembra
: Para obtener unos repollos fuertes, se siembra en julio-agosto trasplantando directamente en hileras a 30-35 cm. de distancia y se recoge a finales del otoño-invierno.
