A special variety with a leafy head that forms a compact red ball that is crunchy and firm with an excellent flavor. The plants close to form compact heads, in a similar way to cabbage lettuces. Recently, red chicory has become very popular with consumers for flavoring and livening up salads and side dishes. Low temperatures are required in order to achieve bright red compact balls.

Sowing: This is an early variety that can be own from June to July. Sow in rows 35/40 cm apart on a light soil that has been well tilled and fertilized.

ESPAÑOL:
Selección especial con cogollo de hojas formando una bola roja, dura, crujiente y consistente, de gusto excelente. La planta se cierra formando una hermosa cabeza apretada como la de las lechugas acogolladas. En estos últimos tiempos dicha achicoria roja es muy solicitada por el consumidor para aromatizar y avivar las ensaladas. Para obtener cogollos bien apretados de un hermoso color rojo brillante se necesitan temperaturas bajas.

Siembra: Variedad precoz, se puede sembrar desde junio a julio directamente en su demora en hileras a distancia de 35/40 cm. En un terreno blando, bien trabajado y bien abonado.
