This delicious, cool weather vegetable produces nicely rounded, firm, white heads for summer and fall harvest. Plants are hardy and vigorous Enjoy raw with dips, pickled, cooked or steamed.

Sowing: For earliest harvest start indoors 4-5 weeks before last frost or woe seeds outdoors in early spring. Set plants out at time of last frost. For a fall crop start seeds July to August. Select a sunny location with fertile soil, loosen soil with spade or fork, fertilize with vegetable food and smooth with rake. Firm soil over seed and deep moist.
Care: Keep soil moist, weed free and feed every 4-6 weeks. If you did not plant a self-blanching variety, protect developing heads from sun by tying leaves over them.
Harvest: Cut just below head when buds are still white and firm.

  • (OP) (Super Snowball) Uniform maturing, smooth, pure white heads weighing 3-5 pounds, 6” across. Medium-sized plant with good leaf coverage. 80 days.

    7,000/oz. 10 days 70F. Grown like cabbage. After germination grow seedlings at 60F. Sow direct or transplant into packs for sale in the early Spring. Plants should be sold young, 4 - 5 weeks. Can be grown in Spring from plants sown in late April or in the Fall from plants set out in late July.
