Plant: Direct sow into well drained soil. In harsh winter areas, sow near mid-July; early September is fine where winters are short and mild. In either case, thin to final spacing 8 to 10 weeks after sowing.
Care: Water regularly and fertilize when spring growth begins. Provide support for tall stems.
Tip: Biennials bloom the second year, produce seeds and die.
