Each shoot of this unique broccoli is topped with a small button-size head, rather than a large central head. Leaves, stems and heads are edible and have a sharp. Slightly sweet flavor. Grows quickly and usually produces repeat harvests until the onset of hot weather. Delicious when slightly steamed. Use fresh or frozen.
Sowing: Sow seeds in a sunny location in early spring or late summer. For an earlier start in spring, sow indoors 5 weeks before transplanting to garden. Care: Water regularly and fertilize when 4" (10cm) tall. Time planting for harvest during cool weather. Harvest: Cut entire stem while thumb-size bud is still tight. Use tender leaves also.
